For a little while, the other half had an avian friend...turns out they can be QUITE DEMANDING if you don't feed them when they want to be fed.

got a new lens, got a photoshoot in the works of a certain bag for a certain friend, then maybe i'll get back into taking my camera everywhere with me.

So remember that 365 day challenge thing? The one I said I'd start way back in July? Yeah, that OBVIOUSLY didn't happen...like...at all.

However, to make up for it, here's a few shots I did awhile back for some photo contests. A new-to-me lens (a 55-200 to match my kit 18-55 glass) will be mine this weekend, and I'm hoping to get some decent shots with it. I still owe Michael some shots of the purse he made for me, too, so maybe I'll get some good light for that.

Sooo my project ended up derailed before it could really get started. Had a busy weekend, stressful beginning of the week, and today's gone all to hell. I'll try a restart on Monday.

SNOWPOCALYPSE 2010

Like most of the Eastern Seaboard, we got The Dumpening this weekend. What follows are photos of the snow as I remembered to grab the camera. I did very little planning on these shots...I just shot and went about my business. Eventually I'll work on that, but I doubt it'll happen during the winter.

We didn't bother shoveling until Sunday or Monday...I honestly can't remember. Most of this weekend was spent either coughing, sneezing, napping, or watching movies. I was horribly sick.

My SO took some photos the day we started shoveling...so far I've only nabbed one shot.

This is our sidewalk after I shoveled it. While wheezing. I'm actually all the way at the end. This has since been covered over by today's blizzard. This is the only reason I've left the house since Friday - I haven't even bothered attempting to release my car from its white cocoon.

I didn't even bother leaving the house today until my SO pointed out the rabbit that finally came out in search of food. IF he can get out tomorrow, I'm sending him to a pet store for some timothy hay for the little guys...

They're so hungry they're eating the bark off the half-buried trees. Apologies at the blurriness, it's hard to shoot a decent photo while wearing a bathrobe in the wind. Next time, the man is going to do this for me.

So, there's my first post of substance. We're supposed to get a third walloping on Monday. I'm less than pleased. I'd love to be able to leave home sometime before March.

i seem to collect blogs like others collect rocks, or baseball cards, or interesting coins.

maybe i'll even use this one.

i haven't touched my camera in awhile, but i'll start picking it back up soon...and then, this will (hopefully) be full of photos.
